The right cleaning, grout work and protection for the two most common home tiles, glazed ceramic and porcelain.
Ceramic and porcelain tile are everywhere in Middle Tennessee homes because they are durable, water resistant and come in endless styles. Both have a hard glazed face that rarely needs sealing, which makes people think they are maintenance free. The tile is easy. The grout between it is not. Cement grout absorbs spills and dirt even when the tile is perfect, and cleaning habits that leave a film can dull the glaze over time.
We care for these tiles with methods that respect the glaze. We use cleaners that remove soil and residue without etching, extract rinse water so films do not remain and treat the grout lines separately with deep cleaning, sealing, recoloring or regrouting as needed. For porcelain with texture, wood-look planks and large format tile, we adjust tools and technique. We also advise on sealing: usually the grout, not the tile. You get a plain care plan matched to your tile and your household.
Gentle, non-etching cleaners avoid dulling the surface while removing film and soil.
We focus on the grout lines, which stain and wear long before the tile does.
Wood-look, matte and large-format tiles need adjusted tools and careful rinsing.

We explain your options for cleaning, recoloring, sealing or regrouting, bring grout color samples and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.
We protect floors, cabinets and fixtures, set up dust control and remove old grout or caulk where the plan calls for it.
We deep clean, repair, regrout, recolor or seal with the right products for each surface and clean the tile as we work.
We clean up, walk the room with you and leave simple care and cure instructions and a reminder for your next check.
The tile itself usually does not. The grout does. Unglazed porcelain may benefit from a sealer.
A neutral pH cleaner is a safe choice for daily use. Harsh acids and abrasives should be avoided.
Residue from cleaners and hard water minerals collects in the texture. Deep cleaning removes it.
On sealed, sound grout, yes. On cracked grout it can force water below the tile.
Wipe spills fast, avoid oily mops and use a neutral cleaner. Resealing helps.
