The right sealer, applied the right way, to protect marble, granite, travertine, limestone and slate from stains and moisture.
Natural stone is full of tiny pores. Sealing fills them below the surface so oil, wine, coffee and water have a harder time soaking in. It is not a force field: no sealer makes stone stain-proof or etch-proof, but a good one buys you time to wipe up spills and keeps moisture out of the stone and the grout. Stones differ widely in porosity, so a sealer that is right for dense granite may be wrong for open travertine.
We begin by cleaning the stone and testing porosity. Then we choose a sealer for the stone type, finish and location, such as a penetrating sealer for countertops, an enhancing sealer for slate or a product designed for showers and outdoor use. We apply it in controlled coats, remove excess before it cures and cure it properly. We label the product and date so you know when to renew, and give you a simple water drop test to check the seal between visits. We seal grout lines too, since they are often the weak link.
We test the stone so the sealer fits how porous it really is.
Counters, floors, showers and patios each need a different type of sealer.
Careful application prevents hazy, sticky or uneven results.
You get the product name and date, plus a way to test the seal later.

You tell us about your tile and what bothers you, stained grout, a moldy shower or a dull floor, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We look closely at tile, grout and caulk, tap-test floors, probe suspicious spots, test cleaners in a hidden area and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for cleaning, recoloring, sealing or regrouting, bring grout color samples and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.
We protect floors, cabinets and fixtures, set up dust control and remove old grout or caulk where the plan calls for it.
We deep clean, repair, regrout, recolor or seal with the right products for each surface and clean the tile as we work.
We clean up, walk the room with you and leave simple care and cure instructions and a reminder for your next check.
Most does, though dense stones need it less. We test to know.
No. Etching is a chemical reaction with acids, and sealers do not stop it.
Drop water on the stone. If it darkens and soaks in within a few minutes, it is time to reseal.
It is possible, but prep and technique matter and mistakes are hard to fix. A pro is safer for valuable stone.
Penetrating sealers do not. We avoid topical finishes on floors.
