Tile around tubs and wall surrounds regrouted and recaulked so water stays in the tub and out of the wall.
The line where a tub meets the tile is the busiest, most stressed joint in the bathroom. A tub is heavy, fills with water that shifts its weight and moves a little every day. Rigid grout at that junction cracks, and cracks let water run behind the tile. Many surround problems that look like bad tile are really failed joints at the tub, the corners and the faucet.
We remove failed grout and caulk, clean the joints completely and check the tile above the tub for loose pieces and soft spots. We regrout the field with the right product and replace the tub line, corners and fixture penetrations with flexible sealant that can stretch and recover. We work in the right order so everything cures properly, and we explain how long to wait before filling the tub. If we find signs of hidden water damage, we tell you before we cover anything.
Flexible silicone or urethane caulk replaces grout at the tub, where movement is constant.
Vertical corners and plumbing penetrations are sealed so water cannot sneak behind the tile.
We press and listen for loose or soft tile that signals moisture behind the wall.
Grout goes first, caulk follows when the joint is ready, and you get clear timing for use.

The tub moves and the joint may be too narrow or dirty when sealed. Proper prep and the right caulk make a big difference.
Yes. We work with the tub in place, and replace the sealant joint.
Caulk usually needs a day to cure before water contact, and we give exact guidance.
For wet areas, silicone usually performs better because it stays flexible and resists mildew.
We repair grout and caulk. Hidden leaks from plumbing or deteriorated walls may need other trades.
