Countertop and Vanity Regrouting

Tile countertops, bar tops and vanities regrouted with food-safe and stain-resistant products that handle daily use.

Tile countertops are charming and hard-working, and their grout lines take a beating. Food, cleaners, hot pans and constant wiping break down cement grout, and the lines turn dark and rough where crumbs and bacteria hide. Bathroom vanities with tile tops see soap, toothpaste and water, and the grout softens and stains. Rough, porous lines on a surface where you prepare food or wash up are more than ugly.

We restore tile counters by removing failed grout, cleaning the joints and regrouting with a dense, low-porosity product. Epoxy or urethane grouts are popular on counters because they resist stains and moisture and clean up easily. We finish the edges, the sink rim and the backsplash joint with flexible sealant and tell you which products are safe for food-contact areas. The result looks fresh, wipes clean and avoids the cycle of scrubbing lines that never come clean.

Questions

Countertop and Vanity Regrouting FAQ

Is grout safe on a kitchen counter?

Modern grouts made for counters are suitable once fully cured. We tell you which product we use and how long to wait.

Why does counter grout stain so quickly?

Cement grout is porous, and food and liquids soak in. Epoxy and urethane resist that.

Can I keep my tile and just redo the grout?

Yes. Many counters look new again with fresh grout and sealed edges.

How long before I can use the counter?

Often a day or two for light use, longer for full cure. Exact timing depends on the grout.

Can you fix a chipped tile on the counter?

We can repair or replace some tiles. Matching old tile can be a challenge, and we will explain options.
