Dull granite counters and floors cleaned, polished and sealed so the stone shines and resists stains.
Granite is among the hardest stones used in homes, but it is not invincible. Over the years cleaners leave a film, acidic spills dull the polish, heavy use wears paths into floors and the sealer wears away, letting oil and water soak in. A granite counter that once looked like glass may look flat and cloudy. Dark rings and gray spots near the sink and stove are usually stains that have soaked into unsealed stone.
We bring granite back with a careful process. We clean it with stone-safe products, remove residue and light etching and polish with fine abrasives or polishing compounds to restore the gloss. Deep stains may need poultices that draw the stain out. When the stone is clean and dry, we apply a quality penetrating sealer, let it soak in and remove the excess so no haze remains. We explain how to check the seal with a water drop and which products to avoid. Seams, edges and backsplashes are included. A quick water drop test on your own counter tells you how the stone is doing today.
Residue and film are removed without harsh acids or abrasives that could dull the stone.
Fine abrasives and compounds bring back the gloss on counters and floors.
Poultices pull oil and water stains from deep within the stone when needed.
A quality sealer blocks stains while leaving the look natural.
