Chips, cracks, seam gaps and dull spots in granite, marble and quartz-look counters repaired and blended.
Stone counters are tough, but edges, corners and seams are exposed. A dropped pan can chip an edge, a settling cabinet can open a seam and a crack can start at a sink cutout where the stone is thinnest. Replacing a countertop is a major expense, and often the damage is small, local and fixable. A good repair can be hard to see, and it prevents water, grime and further cracking from making things worse.
We assess the damage and the cause, since a crack that keeps growing may point to a support problem. Chips are filled with color-matched resin or epoxy and polished to blend. Cracks are stabilized and filled. Seams are cleaned and refilled to close gaps. We match color carefully, test it in the light of your kitchen and polish the repair to match the surrounding stone. We also reseal the area. We are honest about what repair can do: some damage will remain slightly visible, and we explain it before we start.
We look at why the stone chipped or cracked, since support problems need to be addressed.
Resins and epoxies are tinted to match and polished to blend with the stone.
Gaps are cleaned and refilled so crumbs and moisture stay out.
We explain how visible the repair may be before we begin.
