Minerals in water leave chalky film, spots and scale on tile and glass. Here is how to remove it and keep it from returning.
Middle Tennessee water carries dissolved minerals that stay behind when droplets dry. On shower tile they form a chalky white haze. On glass they make spots that look etched. On grout they build a crust that holds dirt. Faucets and drains grow scale, and some wells add rust and orange stains. The longer scale sits, the harder it bonds, and ordinary cleaners barely touch it.
We remove scale with acid-safe products suited to your tile, rinse thoroughly and extract the residue. Stone and some glazes need gentler methods. Then we seal grout and tile where appropriate, which makes minerals easier to wipe off, and we recommend simple habits like squeegeeing and wiping. For stubborn cases we discuss water treatment or filtration, which can reduce the problem at the source. You get a realistic plan rather than a promise that the scale will never return.
